A Story From My Dream | Part 2

K-NIGHT

A Story From My Dream | Part 2

With everyone, I also returned that day. I went to the bed thinking that it was the worst day of my life. Being that much near, I couldn’t see Shreya. With those thoughts wandering in my mind, I didn't know when did I fall asleep.

The next day:

That irritating alarm woke me up at 5am. I then finished all the morning activity. While having breakfast, I was planning to visit Shreya’s house in the hope of seeing her. With this useless idea, I got dressed well, maintained the hairstyle, put on shoes, glasses and went there. After a few hours of waiting there, I found a queue of people marching towards her house. Who cared who they were. Maybe they were from the groom’s family that Shreya had selected yesterday. After they approached near me, I was shocked to see my Phuphu there in the queue. I ran to her and questioned what was she doing there and what’s the hell was going there. She then smiled and knocked me on my head saying “Today is your engagement buddhu...” (Interrupting her I spoke) I know it's my engagement today... Wait, what, my engagement. I was shocked to hear that and asked her with confusion and surprise on my face, “ You must be joking. My engagement, without my knowledge. How, when, and to whom?”.  Many questions were roaming in my head like
My engagement—Noooo, Ok yes but to whom, is she Shreya?? Nooo Nooo,,, Yess but how. She haven’t seen me either. If it is then how did Basudev uncle and Supriya aunty selected me.
I was getting nervous and nervous. Finally, my Phuphu, seeing the tension on my face, told me that I was getting engaged to Shreya, the same girl I visited for yesterday. Aww, how sweet Phuphu you should get Oscar award for acting. How sweet, you said this to make me feel good and happy, right. Bang!! what she hit me, how hard, it pains. She was furious at my words and told me that what she was saying was right. I then questioned her, "how did I got selected even I didn’t attend the event." The twist and history were killing me, but she didn't tell a word about it and hold my hand and took me with her. Who cared, for now, the joy of getting engaged to my dream girl was more than that twist.

I joined those people and went inside Shreya’s house. Her current living was in a small building and a 3 floored building was being built about 64m away, on the left side of that building. I went on the roof of that house where Basudev uncle, Supriya aunty, Arun and most importantly “Shreya” was waiting for us with their guest. A grin touched their face when they saw me, especially Basudev uncle was excited to see Nana Ji. Finally, the day arrived which I had dreamed about for years. Shreya was in front of me and she was going to be mine for this and the next six lives: Janma Janma ko sathi. Though she was little fatter than me, that suited her the best. She looked as if any princess has come down from heaven just for me. That straight silky hair, rosewood smart lipstick, soft pinky blush, her cute-attractive smile were melting me. I kept staling her unless my Phuphu knocked me from the back and I got my sense back.

I greeted uncle, aunty, and their relatives. We then sat on the sofa arranged there. Her eyes were just fixed on me and mine on her. We were stalking at each other. Suddenly Arun called Shreya and she got distracted. We broke our eye connection and got engaged with the guests. After a few minutes, a priest came and told that the right time has arrived, we should begin the ring exchange ceremony. Basudev uncle brought the ring and gave it to Shreya and my Phuphu gave me another ring, and we wore the ring to each other. I felt like Shah Rukh famous dialog from the movie 'Om Shanti Om' has been made for me. It was
Itni shiddat se mene tumhe paane ki kosis ki hai,
Ki har zarrey ne mujhe tumse milaane ki saajis ki hai..
Kehte hai,
Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho...
Toh poori kaaynaat usey tumse milaane ki kosis me lag jaati hai..

All of a sudden, someone burst the balloon and everyone clapped. My Nana Ji and Basudev uncle made an announcement that our wedding was going to conduct two days later. I was confused at how these things are getting so fast. Who cares when your favorite is standing beside holding your hand. Finally, our marriage is officially announced. I don't know how much she was excited, but my excitement was beyond imagination. After the program was over, we went to the sitting room. I and Shreya were standing beside our parents. After a few minutes of talk, we returned back our home for the preparation for my wedding.

The day of our wedding:

Everything was all set and people from both the family went to the Hotel Shanker of Kathmandu city. We arrived there by buses. The decoration was so mesmerizing that I was lost in its beauty for a few seconds. And here arrived my fiance with her family and relatives. The priest told us that marriage should be completed before 11:37 AM. It was already 10:43 AM and we were getting late. What then, everything was arranged and we got dressed in our wedding dress: I dressed in a traditional wedding dress for the groom: Daura, suruwal and Dhaka topi and she was in typical Nepali bridal red sari with a red blouse. Actually, she doesn't require any makeups to define her beauty, but that day she appeared as if an angel has dropped from heaven just for me.

We then went to the Yagya region, and the priest started to chant the sacred words. Finally, I got married to Shreya, my favorite lady. We then enjoyed there a lot and had a lot of photoshoot with video shooting by professionals. We then had lots of fun. I still remember my days with her that came in dreams.

Wish if that dream will ever be true.

A Story From My Dream | Part 1

Everyone is born with a story to create a story. I'm not an exception either. Just like others I'm too given a story by my creators and am working to create the one I'm born for. But, everything has an exception. Don't know if God has eraser or Tippex, but we've it. Once written can be changed here. My story suits best.

This story is purely based on my dreams that appeared on the night of August 01, 2019. I, the admin would like to trace that happiness that has appeared for a few minutes/hours in my dream. As usual, I got to my bed around eleven and half past. It was a moody night and I stayed for a long completing my task. After I got on to the bed, I fell asleep within a few minutes or maybe seconds. Don't know around which hour I started dreaming, but I finally went deep into it. I found myself in Kathmandu city with my parents there and I also happened to see my dearest Phuphu there. We were busy in our daily tasks: preparation for a better tomorrow. It was a day when I was reading the newspaper (Kantipur Newspaper), and found a notice stated as below

BOY NEEDED FOR MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING

Name: Shreya Bhattarai
Age 20
Color: Gahu goro
Education: BSc.CSIT
Venue: My personal home at gali of Jadibuti
Note: Interested and right-aged boys are informed to come by themselves. They can bring their guardian/parent but they won't be allowed in. Best match will be decided by my daughter and me.
I got shocked at what time and age it is. Wait, I had something to say. 'Shreya Bhattarai' the name that triggers my heart when pops up or heard. She used to be my crush and now I've officially crushed her.  But still, her name gives me a goosebump. And since this was her wedding notice, how was I going to miss that opportunity. Though I wasn't as perfect as she may be searching, I went to participate in her groom selection event.

But, a twist aroused my ears. That was, my Nana Ji "Tej Sharma" had personally known to "Basudev Bhattarai", Shreya's father, and he'd recommended me as her daughter's groom. But Basudev uncle had a condition for that as well. He couldn't give her daughter's hand to anyone, so he decided to test me. It was an 'aww' moment for me. At least nature wants that I should meet her ones. Finally, the day came for her event. I got dressed well in black-sticky jeans and a white shirt with a formal shoe, sprayed deodorant on the whole body to smell better. After I finished, I went to Shreya's home.

Shreya's Home:

After I reached there, I saw some girls ( maybe Shreya's friends ) and a bunch of boys sitting there dressed in their best. I felt low seeing they were much handsome and had a better body than me. Who cared, I was there with just a hope to have a glance of her. A long ladder went up to her house which was about 100m inside. That gate was the main entrance. I didn't go inside and stayed out with 14/15 people out there. They were those boys' fathers, but they were not allowed to go in with their sons. After a few minutes, Basudev uncle came out.  He smiled at me. He then called everyone there and said, "Since I have called you all, it's my duty to look for you and your sons. You might be hungry after a long journey, so I want you to buy some stuff for me so that I can give you a treat. Everyone stepped ahead and tried to give him money, some 100, some 500, some 300 and so on. But I stayed firm since I had nothing to do with it. He laughed and took ut 35 rupees from his pocket and gave it to me. He told me to buy some kinds of stuff with that money and bring them to him. I then went to the nearest grocery shop and ordered those stuff. The shopkeeper brought them to me and gave me the bill. My God, it said that I had to pay a total of Rs 415. A troublesome moment for me. A thought came that I should add that extra 380 rupees from my pocket but I restricted it. I then ordered little amount from each of them so that it can be adjusted within that 35 rupees.

After that, I returned back and handover those stuff to Basudev uncle. He smiled and went back to his home. After some hours of waiting there outside the home, nana arrived there by his scooter. He then discussed something with Basudev uncle and left with a smile. I couldn't understand them and I didn't give a shit either because it was none of my business. I waited there till 6pm and returned when every boy returned back. That day was spent fruitlessly.....

To know how I got married to my dream girl, wait for the second part. It will be posted on Aug 7, 2019.

"Because the doctors raise their rates, the attorneys raise their rates. Because the attorneys' rates have gone up, schoolteachers want a raise, which raises our taxes, and on and on and on. Soon, there will be such a horrifying gap between the rich and the poor that chaos will break out and another great civilization will collapse. Great civilizations collapsed when the gap between the haves and have-nots was too great. America is on the same course, proving once again that history repeats itself because we do not learn from history. We only memorize historical dates and names, not the lesson. “Aren't prices supposed to go up?” I asked. “Not in an educated society with a well-run government. Prices should actually come down. Of course, that is often only true in theory. Prices go up because of greed and fear caused by ignorance. If schools taught people about money, there would be more money and lower prices, but schools focus only on teaching people to work for money, not how to harness money's power.”

For example, one dad would say, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” The other, “The lack of money is the root of all evil.”

For example, one dad had a habit of saying, “I can't afford it.” The other dad forbade those words to be used. He insisted I say, “How can I afford it?”

The other encouraged me to study to be rich, to understand how money works and to learn how to have it work for me. “I don't work for money!” were words he would repeat over and over, “Money works for me!”

Rich dad rocked back and laughed heartily. Finally, after his laughing stopped, he said, “You'd best change your point of view. Stop blaming me, thinking I'm the problem. If you think I'm the problem, then you have to change me. If you realize that you're the problem, then you can change yourself, learn something and grow wiser. Most people want everyone else in the world to change but themselves. Let me tell you, it's easier to change yourself than everyone else.”

It's self-inflicted fear and ignorance that keeps people trapped.

Develop Your Passion, Don't Rush to Find it

K-NIGHT
Success resulted by passion
Success comes with a combination of passion and action.
"Find your passion" the most spoken term by any successful person,; probably no success is required to talk about it, the so-called intermediate can also speak about it.

But, it's a serious topic; sorry not a topic, it's a plan for future, means for life. This fashion was well adopted in the past & still, our present is rushing towards it for the hope of a better future. I don't say it's wrong, but it's not the demand of the TIME. There's a vast gap between our past and the present we're living in. No one is beyond time and we must change to adapt in this changing time. There are some people who've different views regarding this i.e. some may claim that those who can't change themselves with this changing time can never win it, can never make a progress and blah-blah. They're true but not in all the manner. I'm not here to explain the conditions and our response to those. This can't be unveiled in this short paragraph.

So, let's get back to our talk, it's 'PASSION'.
This term was much famous & well accepted in the past days, but the time, conditions, needs, everything has changed & we must change our perception on how we look at it to live the life; Darwin's theory- 'Survival of the fittest'. In the race of finding our passion, we lose ourselves and not all can succeed at it. Actually, we work madly to find our passion and some of us become successful too, but only some, not all. Then those who fail, start losing their faith and this leads to their failure. We can't deny the fact that the term holds a vast meaning & it has its own importance, but the majority always fails at achieving it. Do you know the significance of this? Prolly yes. Those who fail, lose their faith & start spending the lifelike as 'बिहान-साझ खाना, बस्नलाई घर र लगाउनलाई कपडा भए अरु के चाहियो र ।' and finally a day their life terminates at a point: this is the life of most of the Nepalese.

Is this life? of course, it is, but it's not complete living. So, what is complete living? It's not time to discuss it. So the conclusion is, rather than rushing to find your passion work to develop it. Many people around the world are working to get their passion rather than waiting for it to be found. Can you tell me, is passion a name of a bird which has been lost somewhere? No, it's not a name of bird but it's a bird itself and those who work at catching it can only have it in their hand.

This fact is based on scientific research held at Sanford. Sanford Research has finally claimed that "Develop your passion" is the best fitting term and this is true indeed. Go for it but remember one thing that failure is necessary. I don't mean that you should fail but, don't let that failure fails you. Actually we, the teenagers of today have our mindset in a particular direction or at a particular thing, and it's good because it'll take you to the path of success, but don't limit yourself within a limited area. We, the teenagers believe science, but one thing not to be forgotten is that science can't explain everything. The truth can only be found in the ocean of knowledge, the one which I use to guide me, leave it. Still I can't write all about the topic I am talking about, because it lengthens the writing & probably not everyone wants to read it.

This is also because no everyone wants everything & no everyting is made for everyone.

I don't mean to say you this one, but the majority owns it, and I believe you don't fall under that majority.

But who am I to make you follow me, it's my duty to answer your question & I'll always do it, but what to choose is your choice. I can show you the path, but can't make you walk on it.

Best wishes!

Negative Impacts of smartphone on children | Digital Kid's problems

K-NIGHT
Kid using tablet

Digital Kids, today's smart kids having great access to the latest tech products. Technology has covered the whole of the world and is on fire. Technology has an undeniably addictive quality. The more we try to detach from it, the more it attracts us. A major portion of tech-user belong to the age group 15-50, but this also popular among the children aged between 2-10years. Those who aren't trained enough to speak a proper word are using those devices smoothly majority for gaming and watching the video. Teens are reported to have a greater negative impact, but here we'll cover only the children.

Seeing today's pattern, today's kids are more virtual than real. Today's world is a digital world and so are the kids. The tech-kid relationship has grown so wide over the parental love. Looking at the life of a child 10 years ago and now has changed drastically to a greater extent. Just for memory, remember your days in 2000-2010, it was awesome right. You, today's parents, wish those days to be back. This is because you've created a memory worth remembering. But let's look at today's kids, why see others, see your own sons or daughters. Can you relater your childhood with theirs? No way, they're living in a different time, a different life. You had lots of friends in the neighbors, they have on their smartphones. Children are mainly addicted to YouTube and cartoon networks.

Among all the tech-products cellphones are at the top list in the context of Nepal. Have you ever wondered, why phones are called smartphones? Because it seizes your smartness into its owns. Hilarious right! But this is the truth. Cellphones these days are earing an entry in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DMS). Using cell phones for mental and anxiety distraction can help a lot, but looking at a long race of time, it creates a behavioral pattern that has a negative impact on mental health. There are many negative effects seen in your children of which some are listed below.

1. Neurological disorder
Researcher suggests that smartphones indeed have an effect on the brain. Smartphone users demonstrate a variety of brain-related problems. Research has suggested that mobile phone usage in children is increasing daily with their increasing mental problems. Children addicted to a smartphone are reported to be emotionally weak with loneliness. Their memory power has been deaccelerating with a decrease in the efficiency of their daily behaviors. They are most likely to develop ADHD which is a brain disorder with symptoms that include a pattern of hyperactive behavior, inattention, and impulsiveness that interferes with functioning and development of the brain. Basically, the child of age group 3-10 has retarded mental growth. This may create a critical condition in the future.
Kid wearing spectacles
2.Eyesight
Children using smartphone 8-9 hours a day on a daily basis are reported to have poor blue light radiation which damages the photoreceptor cell in the retina and increase the risk of macular degeneration which may result in the permanent blindness.
eyesight. Smartphones radiate highly dangerous

3. Insomnia

boy sleeping during study time                 Too much time on the mobile screen wreck their eyes and they lack sufficient time for the rest. Lack of proper rest can bring anxiety and distraction in their mental condition which disturbs the normal sleep time. For children aged 3-10 have a sleep time of 18/16/10 hours time respectively but with addiction to phones, their natural routine is disturbed which brings a condition of less sleep in them called insomnia. This also causes to decrease their focus and memory.

4. Faceless communication
Binding oneself within the walls may result in the bad social development of the children. Humans are the social animals but we people are limiting ourselves within a confined territory of virtualization, and so do our children. They lack the quality to make new friends, couldn't adjust normally in society. They may face a variety of problems while making new friends and can't perform well in their friendship. They can develop such personality in the long term.

5. Weak physical fitness resulting in Weight gain
fat boy watching television

The 2000's child didn't have any tech products like smartphones, tablets, and laptops owing to which they had enough time visit their neighbors, make new friends and have physical
involvement in different plays and games. But today's digital kid have stuck themselves alone in their room and don't exercise physical activity. Since no physical activity is there, calories consumed by them couldn't get burnt total and the remaining gets added below their skin in the form of fats. This results in excessive weight gain and laziness. Their untimely weight gain can cause serious health issues which may not be common to the child group.

6. Parent-child relationship
Parents, child first teacher, always want the wellbeing of their child. Parents buy smartphones for their child for instant communication it offers them. That's good but parent-child relationship suffers when technology usage isn't controlled. The tech-child relationship rules over the parent-child relationship. Children addicted to their smartphones have a wrong belief of being highly smart. Researcher and Common Sense Media reported that 30 percent of the children or teens believe that their parents know a little or nothing about what social media apps and sites they use. Respect and devotions are lost between the parent and their children.

We might have read various positive aspects of tech-products based on proof obtained by conducting research. But the time, conditions, need and demand has changed a lot.
What's new is that previous studies on this topic were made many years ago when social media, mobile phones, tablets and mobile apps didn't exit.                                                  Adam Leventhal
